A rare nice example of an Model 1915 Prussian Artillery other ranks pickelhaube, with economy grey fittings. In 1915 1916 it was decided, as a way of economizing and aiding the war effort, that pickelhaube fittings would no longer be of brass, silver or tombac. Instead they were replaced with the cheaper and less visible oxidized grey steel fittings. This helmet features a very nice high detailed frontplate (wappen)
