This is a wonderful example of a WWII Italian M1938 folding bayonet. This unique folding knife bayonet was designed for use on the Beretta M38A Sub Machine Gun, also called the MAB 38 (Moschetto Automatico Beretta Modello 1938). This bayonet design was heavily based on the folding bayonet designed for the Mannlicher Carcano M1938 Short Rifle (fucile corto), with the main differences being the muzzle ring and
