This just came out of the attic after a hundred years of storage, together with a couple of hundred other guns. It is an original Austrian Lorenz Style military rifle musket, imported in the 1860's for the upcoming Civil War, probably by the Confederate States. After the war the gun was modified to half stock for use as a civilian fowling piece possibly on the Frontier. Old rust staining overall, small piece of wood
