Crinum baconi Bayou Belle Eastern Asia Starting in mid-OctoberCrinum 'Bayou Belle' is a Marcelle Sheppard hybrid of Crinum americanum var. robustum and Crinum scabrum. The clump of very upright glossy green foliage is topped, starting for us in late August and continuing into October, with 3' tall, sturdy stalks, each ending in 6 lovely, fragrant, white, outfacing flowers, heavily striped with burgundy pink. You haven't lived until you've invited a Bayou Belle into your garden.
