In the USA, various spirits are referred to as "Moonshine", most of which were distilled illegally during Prohibition. This was often done in rural areas with home made stills. The resulting moonshine was often filled into jam or preserving jars. The Ole Smoky brand takes up this tradition. Ole Smoky Peanut Butter Whiskey is a
